Iaido preserves the spirit and discipline of the samurai through the art of the sword.
We hold Iaido classes every Saturday, Sunday, and Wednesday. Since there is one non-Japanese student in the Iaido class, lessons can also be conducted in English.
Although Iaido is a martial art that involves drawing a sword in an instant and striking the opponent, training goes beyond simply mastering the techniques; it also places great emphasis on sharpening the mind and body.
Practice is tailored to each member's age, physical fitness, and goals, and is conducted in a safe and injury-free manner. Most of our members have no experience in martial arts.
Iaido class is for junior high school students and above.
The iaido swords used in practice are metal "practice swords" without blades. They can be handled just like real Japanese swords, but are much safer. We provide iaido swords for use during practice.
One of the main features of our school is that we hold tournaments, but participation in tournaments and matches is by those who wish to do so.
If you are interested in Iaido, please feel free to come by for a visit or a trial lesson. If you would like to visit or try a lesson, please contact us via the contact form.
